CEMS is happy to announce that Georgina White from Princeton University has been awarded with CEMS's 2 year Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Fellowship in Classical Studies with a focus on Ancient Political Thought.

Gina is currently in the process of completing her PhD in the Classics Department at Princeton University, where she has been working on a dissertation on the translation of Greek in Cicero's philosophical works. A member of Princeton's Classical Philosophy Program, but with a background in classical literature and history, she is interested in how Greek philosophy enters the Roman world, and the philosophical and political implications of translating Greek thought into the Latin language. In her time at CEU she looks forward to teaching courses on ancient thought and its later influence, and continuing her research into the reception of Greek philosophy in Republican Rome
