We are delighted to announce that CEMS, funded by the Ottoconfession Project, will grant a 250 EUR award at the end of the current academic year for the best MA thesis among those written by students who have signed up for the Eastern Mediterranean Studies Specialization.
The specialization certificate is given to the junior members who fulfill additional credits in SEMS courses and write an MA thesis on a topic that explores socio-cultural, political, religious, or literary phenomena and interactions in the Roman and the post-Roman eastern Mediterranean, up until the late Ottoman era.
We hope this small token for our gratitude to those who have signed up for the specialization and have been carrying out stellar research finds good acceptance, and will continue as a CEMS tradition in the years to come.
The recipient of the award for the AY 2015-16 will be announced at the end of the term.
