Minibus Service
The Budapest Airport has an excellent, reliable, reasonably priced, door-to-door minibus service. Reservations can be made in person at the Airport Shuttle-Minibus Desks or 24 hours before your flight departure via online reservation system at www.airportshuttle.hu A one way ticket costs around 12 EUR (subject to change).
Public Transportation
You can also get to the CEU Residence Center by public transport in about an hour. Tickets can be bought from the vending machine in front of the bus stop. (You'll need 3 of them.)
- Take the #200E bus departing from outside airport. The bus stop is between the "Arrivals" buildings of Terminals A and B. Get off at the final stop, "Kőbánya-Kispest".
- Walk 30 meters towards the METRO building and take the Metro to "Deák tér" (it is the 10th stop), then change to the red line and go to the final station, "Örs vezér tér".
- Cross the road through the underpass towards the IKEA store to get to the #44 or #45 buses. The bus journey is only a few minutes (3 stops if you take the #44, and 4 stops if you take the #45). You should get off at the “Egyenes utcai lakotelep” stop, right after you see a McDonald's and a big Chinese restaurant on the right. The bus stops after an overpass, the CEU Residence Center will be on the right.
From Déli Station
- Take the Red Metro line at Déli Railway Station and go to the last stop, "Örs vezér tér".
- Cross the road through the underpass towards the IKEA store to get to the #44 or #45 buses. The bus journey is only a few minutes (3 stops if you take the #44, and 4 stops if you take the #45). You should get off at the “Egyenes utcai lakotelep” stop, right after you see a McDonald's and a big Chinese restaurant on the right. The bus stops after an overpass, the CEU Residence Center will be on the right.
From Keleti Station
- Take the red Metro line to the last stop, "Örs vezér tér".
- Cross the road through the underpass towards the IKEA store to get to the #44 or #45 buses. The bus journey is only a few minutes (3 stops if you take the #44, and 4 stops if you take the #45). From Nyugati Station
- Take the blue metro line to "Deák tér" station - it is the 2nd stop.
- Change to the red metro line and go to the last stop, "Örs Vezér tér".

Coach (bus)
From "Népliget" Coach Station
- Get on the #1 tram in front of the Bus terminal and go to "Puskás Ferenc Stadion", which is the 5th stop.
- Take the red metro line to the last stop, "Örs vezér tér".
- Cross the road through the underpass towards the IKEA store to get to the #44 or #45 buses. The bus journey is only a few minutes (3 stops if you take the #44, and 4 stops if you take the #45). From "Stadion" Coach Station
- Take the red metro line to the last stop, "Örs vezér tér".

From the "Árpád híd" Coach Station
- Take the blue metro line to "Deák tér" station - it is the 5th stop.

- Walk past the Meridien Hotel, cross the zebra and walk across the park as indicated on the map below.
- At the corner, cross "József Attila utca".
- Continue towards the food store (CBA) and keep straight on till you reach "Zrinyi utca". (2nd street on the left).
- Turn left and find the main entrance of CEU on the right side of the street at the corner of "Zrínyi" and "Nádor" utca (Nador utca 9).

- Take any bus that stops opposite the CEU Residence Center and go to the final stop, "Örs Vezér tér" (3 stops if you take the #44 and 4 stops if you take the #45).
- Look for the underpass that leads you to the Metro.
- Take the Metro to "Deák tér".
- Walk past the Meridien Hotel, cross the zebra and walk across the park as indicated on the map below.
- At the corner, cross "József Attila utca".
- Continue towards the food store (CBA) and keep straight on till you reach "Zrinyi utca". (2nd street on the left).
- Turn left and find the main entrance of CEU on the right side of the street at the corner of "Zrínyi" and "Nádor" utca (Nador utca 9).
N.B.: Every time you board a public transportation vehicle you must validate a ticket. One ticket costs HUF 350 and can be bought at each metro entrance from a ticket vending machine or from the cashiers. If you validate a ticket on the metro line, it remains valid for 60 minutes regardless of transfers from one metro line to another. Once the travel is interrupted (you get out of the metro system), the ticket loses its validity, even if it is within the 60-minute time limit.
