Sara Nur Yıldız (Orient-Institut Istanbul) lectures at Tbilisi State University

Sara Nur Yıldız, Orient-Institut Istanbul traveled to Tbilisi during November 7-18, 2011 where she was hosted by Professor Rismag Gordeziani, Director of the Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and Professor Tina Dolidze, likewise of the Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies. She delivered a series of lectures on "The Sultan Weds a Georgian Princess: Inter-Dynastic Marriage Ceremony, Bagratid Prestige, and the Seljuk Sultanate in the Mid-Thirteenth Century" and "Perso-Islamic Civilization and Turco-Iranian History."
